An AI coworker for Slack lets a team delegate business tasks from a channel instead of switching to a separate AI interface. Marek adds a governance layer: role-based invocation, per-tool permissions, approval gates, spending limits, and an action history.
What a Slack request can become
The goal is not another answer bot. Marek is being built for multi-step work such as assembling sourced research, preparing campaign assets, cleaning CRM records, updating project boards, and producing scheduled reports.

Controls live beside the work
Administrators define who may invoke Marek, which tools it may use, whether each action is Always, Ask, or Never, and how much may be spent before approval.
Early access, not a finished public product
Marek currently has a functional prototype in production QA. Public self-serve access is not open. Waitlist members will be invited in small groups and in signup order.
